Role: Finance Analyst – Stock Finance Team (Joules)

The Opportunity:
Fancy working for one of the UK’s leading retailers? We’re looking for a Finance Analyst to join our Stock Finance Team based at our Leicestershire head office. This is a fantastic chance to take on a key role supporting the financial reporting and control of Joules’ sales and stock. You’ll work closely with senior finance teams to manage budgeting and forecasting for this iconic brand.
What You’ll Do:
As a Finance Analyst, you’ll:
- Reconcile sales, VAT, and gross margin weekly for Joules’ Retail, Online, and Wholesale businesses.
- Manage returns reserve provisioning and oversee financial control of slippage accounts.
- Reconcile commission payable on Joules sales with third-party partners.
- Handle the actuals and forecasting for stock intake.
- Produce statutory sales reports for internal and external use.
- Play a key role in the annual external audit of Joules’ statutory accounts.
- Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including shrinkage, commission, and returns reserves.
- Identify costing discrepancies, working with product teams to address and resolve issues.
What You’ll Bring:
This role is all about collaboration and problem-solving. You’ll need to:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with product teams, commercial finance teams, and wider stakeholders.
- Investigate and resolve queries from various teams, including product, warehouse, and call center teams.
- Work closely with our team in Pune to ensure timely completion of reporting tasks.
