AP/AR Transaction Specialist

In 2023, DLL introduced the central AP/AR team. This team performs all the AP/AR activities for countries that have migrated to Oracle Fusion. The team will consist of AP- and AR transaction specialists and AP/AR process specialists. The team will be responsible for the entire AP/AR process, with full ownership and responsibility of the AP and AR subledgers.

Currently, the Vendor entities for The Netherlands, Belgium, UK, Ireland, France, Spain and Portugal as well as the corporate centre entities are being serviced by the central AP/AR team. In 2025, other countries starting with Germany, Austria and Switzerland will implement Oracle Fusion. To accommodate this, we are looking for a transaction specialist within the central AP/AR team. This member can work from the current office location but will be organizational part of the central AP/AR team and will work and support all countries throughout Europe that use Oracle Fusion.

Day to day:

  • Working within the central AP/AR team on the following processes:
    • Procurement-to-payment
    • Billing-to-collection
    • Cash management and transaction matching
  • Servicing:
    • Corporate Centre
    • Vendor entities that are using Oracle Fusion
    • Other countries that go-live, starting with Germany, Austria and Switzerland
  • Taking responsibility for the processing of invoices, both incoming AP invoices as well as outgoing AR invoices
  • Liaising with the business on questions with respect to business requests and/or questions on incoming invoices
  • Liaising with Group Procurement and the local general ledger teams on the individual AP invoices and related procurement orders
  • Liaising with the General Ledger team on invoices to capitalized or prepaid, linking the AP transactions with General Ledger accounting
  • Performing the member reimbursement process via Certify, managing the accounting for corporate credit cards as well as one-off payments to members.
  • Supporting the process specialists in the central AP/AR team with their day-to-day questions and working together to achieve smooth processes.

Essentials:

  • Knowledge of and experience with AP/AR processes
  • Team player, that can work within a standardized and automated process
  • IT savviness, ability to effectively work with Oracle Cloud Fusion, APRO Imaging and APRO Banking
  • Communication skills, ability to interact with the business, other finance departments and suppliers
  • Global mindset, ability and willingness to work for various entities, seeing the bigger picture
  • Ability to consider the process consequences of transactional steps
  • Ability to identify process weaknesses / optimization opportunities and address these
  • Fluent in English and preferably one of the following languages: Dutch, German, French, Portuguese or Spanish
