Indirect Tax Manager

As the business proactively expands across the region, the organistion is looking to hire an experienced Indirect Tax Manager to join the tax team. This is to ensure alignment of tax strategies within the group, in preparation of upcoming IPO.

Description

As a Indirect Tax Manager, you will:

• Report to the Head of Tax, ensure compliance to IFRS, kept abreast of ongoing GST/VAT changes in the market
• Act as a strong business partner to Tax, Finance and other functions, provide tax advisory/solutions that aligns with business goals
• Scope impact of new business initiatives on existing process and systems
• Drive standardisation and automation of indirect tax process in a voluminous set up, fulfil annual statutory requirements
• Address queries from tax authorities, implement necessary tax regime changes timely

Profile

• Degree in Finance and Accounting, CA/ATP qualified, at least 10 years working experience in Tax
• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS application, combination of working experience with a professional accounting firm and commercial set up
• Core experience in Indirect Tax, partnering closely with Transfer Pricing and Direct Tax function
• Experience gained with MNC/Tech start-ups will be highly advantageous
• Demonstrate good commercial acumen to engage with senior stakeholders, influence and communicate business objectives
