An accountant is a professional responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Description

- Actively contribute to the improvement and development of processes and systems.
- Continuously enhance the efficiency of processes within areas of responsibility.
- Prepare all IFRS-compliant Group reports and other financial documents.
- Provide professional accounting and reporting advice to Business Areas and the Finance team, ensuring compliance with IFRS, Group standards, and the Business Code of Practice.
- Ensure all queries are addressed promptly, accurately, and efficiently.
- Oversee the quality and timeliness of general ledger reconciliations, ensuring follow-up on open items.
- Ensure all group and agreed deadlines are met.
- Maintain the quality and timeliness of control during period-end closing.
- Escalate major issues or red flags to management as necessary.
- Conduct monthly meetings with local customer centers before month-end closing.
- Establish and maintain appropriate controls over accounting and reporting processes.
- Ensure standard operating procedures are kept up to date.
- Assist in the training of new colleagues.
- Work with internal and external auditors.
- Assist local entities and Holdings in completing local statutory reporting obligations.
- Collaborate with the AtR, PtP, and OtC teams in the service center.

Profile

- At least 2 years of experience in accounting and finance.
- A university degree in finance or accounting.
- Proficient in written and spoken English, with the ability to lead meetings, video/phone conferences, and presentations.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with major ERP systems (preferably SAP).
- Strong communication skills.
- Results-driven with a proven ability to execute tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Highly organized and systematic in approach.
