Who we are looking for

Reporting to the Vice President, the Officer will be part of the DCOE OTC Control team tasked with ensuring the successful migration of reconciliations to a streamlined reconciliation application. The Officer will also work in conjunction with the OTC Reconciliation team as an escalation contact for clients and work to onboard new business.

This position offers the successful candidate the opportunity to demonstrate leadership, collaboration, communication and technical expertise. Strong knowledge of reconciliations and exposure to OTC derivatives is needed.

What you will be responsible for

As Officer you will

  • Be part of a working group responsible for ensuring the successful migration of OTC reconciliations onto a streamlined reconciliation system. This includes planning parallel runs, working with the OTC reconciliation team to ensure adequate resourcing is available to meet assigned targets and liaising with all stakeholders to ensure successful implementation.
  • Be a key point of contact for internal/external clients when escalations arise. Liaise with the OTC reconciliation team and relevant stakeholders to drive resolution.
  • Support OTC reconciliation onboarding. 
  • Liaise internally/externally with clients to efficiently onboard reconciliations and deliver service per respective SLAs.
  • Be accountable and responsible for completing all mandatory training and continuing to develop technical expertise.
  • Establish and nurture a culture of ‘Risk Excellence’. Identify and proactively mitigate risks ensuring all work is completed in accordance with Standard Operating procedures.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • An honors degree from a related/numeracy-based discipline
  • Knowledge of/experience working with OTC derivative instruments
  • Highly computer literate with a very good knowledge of desktop software applications including MS Office applications.
