Conduct Risk Compliance – Officer
Who are we looking for
Candidate having 10 to 12 years of experience with understanding on Compliance functions, knowledge of financial products and excellent communication skills (Verbal & Written). Officer will be primarily working on leading an employee trade surveillance team, Conflicts of Interest review and may support the other conduct risk related tasks. This role is based out of the Bangalore location (RMZ Eco world, Bellandur).

What you will be responsible for
- Good understanding of State Street’s Standard of Conduct, State Street Global Advisors Code of Ethics, Global Personal Investment Policy, Conflicts of Interest Policy, Outside Activity Policy, and other compliance policies.
- Conduct Risk Compliance team monitors the risk that arises out of an employee’s trades executed via their brokerage accounts, Private Investments and Outside Business Activities etc.
- Lead an Employee Trade Surveillance team of 5 to 10 members having an oversight on Daily Surveillance of employees personal securities transactions to ensure requirements are met, escalate the potential violations are researched and escalated appropriately.
- Conduct regular team huddles to track status of different tasks and address any concerns of the team members.
- Weekly Check-In’s with the team members, Coach them and act as an mentor for junior team members. Assigning priorities for team members in Coordination with Functional Manager and conducting monthly reviews & Snapshot discussions.
- Preparation of Deck for CRMO Operations Meeting highlighting the Key achievements, tasks and volumes processed and addressing concerns with global team.
- Support on Star Compliance User acceptance testing (UAT), enhancing the existing ‘Standard Operating Procedures’ and creating the new ones when required.
- Proactive mindset to actively collaborate with other compliance teams locally in India and functionally within Conduct Risk Management Office globally is desired.
- Few tasks that include but not limited to broker statement reconciliation, initial holdings certification etc. may involve manual work.
- Detail attention to these tasks performed by team members is required and perform Quality checks.

- Good Understanding on Financial Products that include but not limited to Equities, Bonds, mutual funds and Option trading etc. is mandatory.
- Good draft skills in creating and enhancing the ‘Standard Operating Procedures’ for multiple tasks performed
- Good Oral/Written Communication Skills is desired to lead a large team and to handle employes queries over email and scheduled calls daily.
- Active Participation in India Compliance Initiatives and work closely with local leadership team is part of the core roles and responsibilities.
Education & Preferred Qualifications
- Any full time degree would suffice
- 10 to 12 years of experience with 5 plus years of experience in compliance is preferred
- 1 to 4 years of people management is desired
- Available to work (12 PM IST to 9 PM IST)
