Who we are looking for
The Global Funds Management (“GFM”) team within State Street Global Advisors drives sound fund oversight programs across our funds and services. GFM’s Valuation Oversight Team is looking for a Private Investments Valuation Analyst to execute and own the valuation processes for private and complex securities held across our funds and accounts. You will support the valuation committee including preparation and review of valuation reports, testing of fair value methodologies, and coordination of fair value determinations and related documentation. You will work and collaborate with various teams across the organization including, but not limited to, Operations, Compliance, Risk, and Portfolio Management, as well as external parties.
This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements.

What you will be responsible for
As a Private Investments Valuation Analyst, you will
- Develop, support and enhance our valuation process for private instruments
- Perform independent valuations on securities ranging from basic to highly complex instruments such as structured products and illiquid assets
- Analyze market data such as prices, yields, and comparable securities to determine appropriate inputs into valuation models
- Document valuation procedures, assumptions, and conclusions clearly and concisely for financial reporting and audit purposes
- Interact with third parties, including external valuation experts, traditional pricing vendors and auditors to ensure robust and accurate pricing for portfolio instruments
- Support our traditional investment valuation process
- Prepare materials and present to the Valuation Committee, Fund Boards of Trustees and other senior committees on valuation matters

- Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making skills
- Knowledge of and prior experience with various investment types including private credit, structured debt, and bank loans
- Subject matter expertise of technical accounting standards and generally accepted valuation methodologies for complex investments
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint); Skilled in the use of Bloomberg and other market data sources
Education & Preferred Qualifications
- Equivalent to bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business or relevant field
- Minimum 7 years of related experience, with prior experience preparing and/or auditing security valuations required
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA) a plus

Salary Range: $110,000 - $177,500 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.Job Application Disclosure:
