This position works at Istanbul location in the Established Pharmaceuticals Division that we are committed to bringing the benefits of our trusted medicines to more people in the world’s fastest-growing countries. What You’ll Do

1. FINANCIAL PLANNING MANAGEMENT

  • Supporting yearly financial plan and quarterly Latest Best Estimate preparations (estimations for expenditure, profit, headcount, Cash Flow)
  • Leading regular month-end closing activities by collaborating with stakeholders from Finance and Operations.
  • Business Partnering with commercial team on company financial planning, budget management and long-range business plans.
  • Being fully involved in financial data preparation for Financial Reconciliation and S&OP meeting with latest results, risks, contingencies and suggestions monthly.
  • Performing profitability analysis on products and report the results with brand P&Ls.
  • Identifying and communicating gap between proposed forecast and the financial commitment.
  • Ensuring the submission of monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reporting to Region and Division (LBEs (Latest Best Estimate), MT (Monthly Tracking))
  • Ensuring all financial transactions in the Balance Sheet and P&L areas are being recorded properly and getting the variance explanations from related parties
  • Monitoring completion/status of action items related to her/his job responsibilities from prior S&OP meeting.
  • Initiating ad-hoc analysis for strategic decisions of Turkey affiliate
  • Achieving & maintaining KPIs at Required level at Department Level
  • Conducting Transfer Pricing practice annually as main contact of affiliate
  • Developing financial awareness by preparing and sharing financial newsletter with upper management which includes business unit based P&Ls, financial results and suggestive actions in order to achieve total year targets
  • Initiating ad-hoc analysis for strategic decisions of Turkey affiliate
  • Acting as EPD contact with the Company’s independent external and internal (Abbott International) Auditors on Planning matters including Policies and Procedures.
  • Leading projects about Profit & Lost Improvements
  • Implementing SOP processes in finance area

2. CAPITAL MANAGEMENT AND EXPENSE CONTROL

  • Performing Capital Expenditure requests through a tool and monthly follow-up of Fixed Asset capitalization
  • Ensuring compliance with Financial Procedures relating to requests for Capital of a Financial nature.
  • Preparing and maintaining the CAPEX budgets in LBE periods and actual spending.
  • Assessing the feasibility of investments by calculating the NPVs and IRRs of the projects.
  • Analyzing Capital Expenditure and project expense variances (Actual vs Plan, LBE and PY)

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration or Economics
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in the Finance department
  • Good command of both written and spoken English
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the Finance department, preferably in the Healthcare / Pharmaceutical sector
