Tax Analyst (6 Months)

[6 months contract]

Job Responsibilities

1. Responsible for the Company’s direct tax compliance including yearly tax compliance

• Information preparation and analysis necessary for the Company’s direct tax compliance including yearly tax compliance requirements.
• Liaise and handle queries raised by the Company’s tax agents for the Company’s tax computation / tax return preparation.

2. Responsible for the Company’s Withholding Tax (“WHT”) compliance

• Information preparation and analysis necessary for the Company’s WHT compliance requirements.
• Liaise and handle the WHT compliance process with SSC AP team as well as the Inland Revenue Board (“IRB”) of Malaysia
• To ensure timely submission and remittance of WHT form(s) and payment(s) to the IRB

3. Responsible for the Company’s other tax matters as below

• Business partnering support by providing support through minor direct tax advisory on business transactions, process improvements etc.
• Other direct/indirect tax support when is applicable/ necessary during the secondment period.

Requirement

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in a tax analyst, accounting, or financial role.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent professional certification.
• Strong knowledge of tax regulations and experience in tax consulting.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities as well as attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in MS Office and taxation software
