Join us as a Senior Specialist in Client Service & Fund Accounting (Alternative Investments)

Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting a Senior Specialist in Client Service & Fund Accounting to join our Alternative Investments department in the Client Service and Fund Accounting Team. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Supervisor to prepare the NAV reporting package. You will be a part of the unique team which has insight into end-to-end process and contributes to production of final deliverables for the clients.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Preparation of monthly/quarterly/annual deliverables such as Net Asset Value reporting pack (scope of work includes mix or selected tasks).
  • Monitoring fund’s activities in the accounting system.
  • Supporting supervisor in communication with clients and external auditors on a regular basis.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate responses to any queries.
  • Ensuring accuracy, timeliness and completeness of all client related tasks, including communicating with other BBH teams.
  • Developing and maintaining strong familiarity with accounting standards (i.e. Lux GAAP).
  • Ensuring adherence to all established procedures, best practices and internal controls.

Desired Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in accounting / financial reporting / finance related area.
  • Primary degree in a finance or accounting related discipline, and/or equivalent work experience is an asset.
  • Understanding of accounting practices and standards.
  • Highly organized, detail orientated and self-motivated.
  • Pro-active, mature and able to work with respect to the previously agreed timeline.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Computer literate with strong Excel skills.
  • Fluency in English.
