As Senior Financial and Accounting Analyst you will work collaboratively as a member of the Finance Department and be accountable for the financial reporting of WorkplaceNL to Senior Management, the Board of Directors and stakeholders. This role is key for database management, statistical reporting and data modeling.

Senior Financial and Accounting Analyst
As Senior Financial and Accounting Analyst you will work collaboratively as a member of the Finance Department and be accountable for the financial reporting of WorkplaceNL to Senior Management, the Board of Directors and stakeholders. This role is key for database management, statistical reporting and data modeling.
Role Responsibilities
- Prepares annual financial statements reporting WorkplaceNL's financial position to all stakeholders.
- Working with external actuarial and audit services to complete recording of benefit liabilities and audit requirements.
- Ensures accurate and timely completion of administration, capital and project budgets for management and presentation of comparative results including justification and interpretation for presentation to the Board of Directors.
- Knowledgeable of accounting standards (IFRS - International Financial Reporting Standards) concerning the reporting and presentation of WorkplaceNL's financial position.
- Maintains short and long term cashflow preparation and proforma development based on economic drivers such as employment trends and injured worker benefits.
- CPA (Certified Professional Accountant) designation supplemented by 5 years progressive experience in accounting and analytical work in a computerize accounting environment.
- The Candidate must have strong analytical, communication, interpersonal skills and be able to work independently on multiple demanding deadlines.
- The candidate must be proficient in all Microsoft office products especially excel. Knowledge of Oracle would be an asset.
- Guiding junior staff to ensure all recording, reconciliation and reporting are completed accurately and timely.
- Working with all areas and levels of the organization to ensure budget development and analysis is accurate and presented to the Board of Directors.
- Growing knowledge of the organization for all major inputs in cashflow, forecasting, statistical reporting and injury fund monitoring (long term investment portfolio).
