Job Description:

This is a multibillion-pound deal that will bring together capabilities from both Companies, as well as moving existing technology assets onto the Azure cloud platform. The delivery teams will be jointly resourced and will use agile methodology to drive customer focus and to move at significant pace.

This Finance manager role will partner with the Foundation and Migration (F&M) workstream and will report into the Director of Finance for F+. This role will require the candidate to embed themselves into the technology team, to ensure we are effectively utilising the funding mechanisms that were jointly signed as part of the deal. This includes significant CTA (cost to achieve) funding and Azure credits.

The successful candidate should have proven track record to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment and lead a team to provide valuable insight.

Responsibilities:
  • Foundation & Migration Initiatives - business partnering with the F&M delivery team to drive execution and outcomes
  • Financial Performance- Analyse performance of monthly project actuals to pull out key trends that help inform forecasts. Work with project managers to ensure forecasts are robust given financial insights learnt. Drive linkage of spend to outcomes delivered. Support establishment of monthly savings reporting. Strive to improve processes and current ways of working.
  • Financial Operating Rhythm and Planning- Provide support in establishing and driving the F+ Finance operating rhythm for outer year planning focusing on both costs to achieve, costs to maintain and business case savings
  • Ownership of adherence to accounting policies to include quarterly impairment processes, depreciation schedules etc
  • External partnering. The partnership has complex financial levers, that are subject to ongoing partnership and governance, so the role requires good working relationships; as well as providing supporting Procurement in their negotiations
  • Partnership with key stakeholders across the organization, especially CMO team, D&A and Technology (I&C, Cyber, Cloud, Architecture)
  • Ad-hoc finance support of Strategic Initiative projects within D&A Tech
Technical/Professional Skills & Competencies:
  • Experienced in working in a matrixed, global organization
  • Experienced in FP&A and reporting background, along with desire to business partner key stakeholders
  • Proficiency in working effectively and delivering results in a fast-paced, complex, dynamic, global business environment.
  • Leads teams and gives thought leadership across functions of the business
  • Demonstrate strong customer-focus with a commercial mindset, communication and analytical skills
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects with competing demands for resource
Education/ Certifications:

Professional Finance Qualification - e.g. MBA/CIMA/ACCA
