Senior Group Accountant - ASAP Start

An opportunity for a Senior Group Financial Accountant to join a large complex Financial Services group in Melbourne's CBD. The role commences ASAP and will be responsible for producing the statutory financial reports and accounts, reporting directly to the Head of Finance and CFO.

Description

The Senior Group Financial Accountant will be responsible for:

• Financial Statement preparation - Production of Group Statutory accounts
• Assist with developing ad implementing policies
• Determine accounting treatment of unique matters through the applying accounting standards
• Process improvement initiatives
• Assist with ad hoc activities and analysis

Profile

The successful candidate will be technically strong, having worked in a similar role. The candidate will carry a CPA or CA/ACA/ACCA qualification and have a strong attention to detail. Requiring an ASAP start, the successful candidate will ideally be able to commence in the near future. The role requires interaction with both senior internal and external stakeholders requiring the individual to have excellent interpersonal skills.
