About the role:
ARQ is a national team with primary hubs located in London, Birmingham, and Edinburgh. As a successful secondee, you will join our technology-connected Risk & Quality team of 120 professionals within ARQ, and specifically the US CoE Team.
We are in search of high-performing Senior Managers to be part of our esteemed US Centre of Excellence (CoE) Team within Audit Risk and Quality (ARQ). Ideal candidates will possess a deep technical expertise in auditing, along with extensive knowledge of PCAOB, US Audits, and PwC audit methodology.
A secondment into the US Team offers a unique opportunity to support our Foreign Private Issuers, US Domestic Registrants, and US inbound component engagement teams and clients. You will provide expert advice and counsel on PCAOB and US GAAS auditing matters, risk management, and UK firm issues.

What your days will look like:
  • Providing accounting guidance and advice in response to consultations and enquiries from the practice
  • Supportorting UK Foreign Private Issuers and Domestic Registrants, and 270 US inbound engagement teams on audit methodology, risk assessment, and SOx engagements.
  • Producing and updating the firm's US methodology and guidance publications
  • Developing and delivering US technical training to the firm and some clients
  • Prepare PwC UK for the triennial PCAOB inspection and provide support throughout the inspection process.
  • Work with PwC CMAS to support PwC UK teams as part of the US capital markets process including IPOs, GAAS bridging and 3-05 engagements.
  • Consulting with teams in the EMEA region on PCAOB and US audit matters
This role is for you if:
  • Must possess a Chartered Accountant / ACA / ACCA / ICAS Qualification (or an international equivalent) or have equivalent work experience. This includes international candidates who qualify through experience in their home countr
  • A good working knowledge of PCAOB and US GAAS auditing standards with extensive experience working on PCAOB audits or in a SOx environment.
  • Excellent practical and technical auditing experience
  • Strong project and stakeholder management skills to manage multiple competing pressures
  • Experience of managing people, workload and individual tasks
