The Management Accountant will be tasked with ensuring that the management accounts are prepared in an accurate and timely manner. The successful candidate should have a keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and a flair for dealing with financial and numerical data.

Description

  • Prepare monthly management accounts and report on variances
  • Preparation and processing of journals including deferred income, accruals and prepayments
  • Assist in month end reporting
  • Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards
  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed
  • Provide support to the Finance team and liaise with other departments
  • Participate in financial projects and initiatives
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis as required

Profile

A successful Management Accountant should have:

  • Part Qualified Accountant- studying towards qualification
  • Experience in the preparation of monthly management accounts- end to end.
  • Good knowledge of deferred income, accruals, prepayments, variance analysis and cash flow management.
  • Maintaining relationships with suppliers, liaising to resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
  • The ability to work as part of a team and on individual tasks
