Description
Our Germany country coverage team within Morgan Stanley’s Investment Banking Division is a leading franchise in the sector, covering a broad array of publicly listed and private companies in Germany. The companies are highly transaction oriented with Morgan Stanley advising them on a wide range of complex transactions including acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, joint ventures, corporate restructurings, shareholder relations, recapitalizations, demergers, leveraged buyouts and defences against unsolicited takeover attempts, strategy advisory assignments and executions of public and private capital markets transactions.
Associates will typically work on a variety of transactions and take on significant responsibility for delivering specific elements. Associates will have the opportunity to become involved with a wide range of industrial organisations ranging from small entrepreneurial technology players to large scale industrial conglomerates. Associates will play an important role on teams that include senior professionals who will encourage you to go beyond the numbers and think creatively.

What will you be doing?
- Creating and analysing financial models with a high degree of granularity.
- Gathering market data to analyse trends and help value companies and transactions.
- Creating, drafting, and taking ownership of presentations and memoranda for a wider audience both internally within the firm as well as externally.
- Contributing to team discussions and client meetings.
Qualifications
What we’re looking for:
- You have been educated to degree level from a leading university.
- Relevant Investment Banking (corporate finance/M&A) experience or equivalent required
- Strong analytical and modelling skills.
- Knowledge of accounting and financial concepts.
- You are a results-driven team player who performs well under pressure and against tight deadlines.
- Fluent in German and English. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential; ability to communicate effectively in multiple languages is helpful, however, not a necessity.
- You are committed to excellence and maintain high professional and ethical standards.

This role is deemed as a Certified role and may require the role holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or the minimum qualifications to meet internal company benchmarks.
