Major Duties:

  • Support the completion of Northern Trust’s annual resolution planning activities
  • Evaluate regulatory and internal requirements around resolution planning
  • Operates as a subject manner expert for resolution planning, provides comprehensive, in-depth consulting and leadership to team and partners at a high technical level
  • Gather and aggregate data; conduct financial analyses
  • Prepare presentations, supporting template requirements and completing documentation of processes and results
  • Conduct some financial analyses with both internal and external data, which may include topics in corporate finance and resolution planning
  • Operates independently; has in-depth knowledge of the function
  • Carries out activities that are large in scope, cross-functional and technically difficult
  • Role is balanced between high level operational execution and development, and execution of strategic direction of business function activities
  • Strategic in developing, implementing and administering programs within functional area
  • Monitors risks relative to functional area and delivers timely escalation of major issues to manager
  • Perform quality control checks/secondary review to ensure accuracy of the data

Knowledge:

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills, the ability to both create and critically review and edit documents
  • Excellent marketing, relationship, facilitation and motivational skills
  • Exposure to Project Management will be an added advantage
  • Comfortable acting as lead person in discussions with other NT functions.
  • Ability to work independently and create solutions to business challenges
  • Ability to understand and deal with complex issues and make recommendations for appropriate course of action
  • The successful candidate will also demonstrate the following skills
  • Ability to work independently, while escalating complex issues
  • Executes efficiently and effectively
  • Leadership and organizational skills are essential to prioritize assignments and provide feedback to management

Experience:

  • A College or University degree and/or 7 to 10 years of relevant proven work experience for a financial industry is required.
