Job Description 

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Audit/Accounting Intern to join our dynamic Audit and Assurance team. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in audit and assurance processes and compliance within a leading organization. 

Key Responsibilities 

Audit Assistance: 

• Assist in conducting audits by gathering data, performing analytical reviews, and documenting findings. 
• Support the preparation of audit workpapers, ensuring that they are organized, complete, and ready for review. 
• Participate in risk assessments and identify potential areas for process improvement. 
• Conduct preliminary tests of financial controls and help verify adherence to internal policies and regulatory standards. 
• Assist in drafting audit reports and communicate findings to audit teams. 
• Organize and maintain audit documentation for easy access and review. 

Accounting Assistance: 

• Help in preparing and updating financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. 
• Assist in reconciling accounts and verifying financial data for accuracy. 
• Support the month-end and year-end closing processes by preparing entries and verifying data. 
• Participate in processing accounts payable and receivable, including reviewing invoices and maintaining records. 
• Aid in the maintenance of general ledgers and the analysis of account variances. 
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and relevant regulatory requirements. 

Qualifications: 

• Currently pursuing a degree/certification in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. 
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements. 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally) is a plus. 
• Problem-solving oriented. 
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities. 
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
