Chief Accountant

Our client is a global international company. Ukrainian office is located in Odesa. The company is a world leader port-infrastructure. The poision of a Chief Accountant is open.

The successful candidate will manage financial operations, ensure compliance with international accounting standards, and contribute to strategic financial planning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
• Ensure compliance with local and international tax regulations.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
• Monitor and optimize cash flow and financial performance.
• Develop internal controls and improve accounting processes.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Chief Accountant, preferably in international companies or the transportation industry.
• ACCA certification (or equivalent) is an asset, but not obligatory.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and other international accounting practices.
• Solid understanding of local and international taxation.
• Good proficiency in English (both written and verbal).
• Experience working with ERP systems and financial reporting software.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
