Role Summary:

Kuala Lumpur is the host to KPMG Delivery Network’s ASPAC Compliance Delivery Centre (‘’ACDC’’), which offers compliance services in ASPAC. The team is culturally diverse, comprising of many different nationalities, backgrounds and skills. ACDC offers end-to-end compliance support for clients and is powered by advanced technology and automation, robust processes, and a highly skilled team of client centric professionals. Responsibilities

  • Reviewing VAT, WHT and other tax related reports prepared by junior colleagues
  • Assigned to be “country expert” in jurisdiction of focus
  • Supervising the work performed under client allocation to ensure all necessary client and documentation tasks are performed for clients
  • Providing training to team members for jurisdiction assigned as country expert
  • Help clients in being compliant with their tax obligations
  • Provide guidance on VAT related issues
  • Participation in process improvement, digitalization, and automation projects.
  • Acting as a mentor for 3-5 people in the group
  • Prepare draft letters for clients, summarizing facts, analyzing specific solutions and recommendations
  • Support Assistant Manager/Manager/SM at relevant engagement meetings.
  • Assist in transitioning new clients
  • Become proficient with the tools used for Indirect Tax Compliance

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of VAT Compliance work experience or Tax compliance work experience providing data based compliance services
  • Detailed knowledge of value added tax (VAT) is required
  • Strong written and spoken English language is a must
  • Language capability in any of Traditional Mandarin, Simplified Mandarin, Korean, Vietnamese, or Thai language proficiency is an added advantage
  • Advanced Excel and good computer skills
  • Precision and reliability, pro-active personality
  • Curiosity and passion to find solutions to client’s needs
  • Great analytical skills, ability to collect, understand, organize, analyses complex processes and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Adept at queries and presenting findings
  • Ability and willingness to learn the end-to-end indirect tax automation process
