Who we are looking for
For our Client Delivery management team in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, we are looking for a client centric client service representative. The purpose of the role is to ensure all client deliverables are met according to the standards required by our clients. In order to do so this position requires someone that is able to understand in detail the various aspects of the day to day workings of the pension fund industry and how the different processes interact with daily and monthly data delivery. This is preferably underpinned by a bachelor’s degree with a focus on finance, investments, accounting, custody or related field. You will interact with various State Street departments throughout the world as well with local clients.
This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements.
What you will be responsible for
As Custody & Fund Accounting, Associate 2 you will:
- Build strong relationships with clients through the provision of daily operational support and prompt resolution of accounting and custody queries;
- Oversee NAV production performed by fund accounting teams in other State Street locations.
- Be responsible for ensuring that custody operations run smoothly in the following areas: transaction servicing, income & corporate actions, cash processing, claims, agent bank operations, cash monitoring and investigations, failed & unmatched trade monitoring, reconciliations.
- Respond in a timely manner to external and internal inquiries using Inquiry Management Tool (IMT) - internal communication system.
- Collaborate with Centre of Excellence / Shared Service teams to facilitate delivery of all core services in line with Client Service Schedule and/or Service Level Agreement;
- Ensure effective tracking and resolution of enquiries and liaise with appropriate parties to resolve/ escalate queries / problems within agreed timescales;
- Production of client-customized reports
- Monitor and review daily work of your colleagues to ensure accurate and timely execution.
- Provide on the job training to new staff and assists new staff with attainment of understanding job responsibilities.
- Timely and accurate processing related to incoming mail for department with sensitivity towards handling personal sensitive data
- Remains familiar with back-up procedures when system applications and/or transmission problems arise.
- Review operating procedures and ensure they are kept up to date;
- During the course of normal day to day operation, be responsible for identifying any unusual or potentially suspicious transaction activity and must report and/or escalate in accordance with corporate policy and guidelines detailed in relevant operating procedures.
- Participate in internal and external calls/meetings to provide expertise where required;
- Assist clients with change requests and support business transformation and new business onboarding for example: new client or fund opening / asset transition / re-structuring activity;
- Support client use of State Street online reporting platform (MyStateStreet);
- Drive open and collaborative communications ensuring client information is shared in a timely manner with key functions
- Other duties as assigned.
