Work you'll do
Deloitte's Tax Services help companies and individuals manage their tax costs and obligations effectively, especially in the area of cross-border tax matters. Leveraging on Deloitte's global resources, our Tax professionals keep clients abreast of developments that have tax implications and advise them in structuring investments, merger and acquisitions, transfer pricing, tax planning and compliance.
You will work within an engagement team and draw on experience and knowledge in cross border mobility issues include tax, immigration and social security requirement to provide employment related compliance and consulting services to multinational clients.
For its Global Employer Services service line, Deloitte Tax Services is keen on recruiting candidates who are willing to fit into the roles outlined below and have the requisite qualification and acumen to assume responsibilities attached to the job.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage client engagements, including compliance season planning, concur the tax compliance deliverables, risk management and account management.
- Keep abreast with the latest employment related regulatory development and ensure compliance with all applicable law and regulations.
- Research and prepare materials for advisory projects related to employment tax planning.
- Work with Partners/ Directors on business development opportunities.
- Manage multiple projects and assignments and ensure that services provided are within the agreed service level.
- Provide guidance and support to team members which aim to develop and motivate the engagement team.
- Assist with financial performance management of the engagement by monitoring billing and collections status.
- Involve in Public Speaking such as providing internal training, speak at client seminars/events.
- To lead work-related initiatives such as technology, business development, talent management.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or business related field.
- Candidates with recognized professional certification such as ACCA will also be considered.
- Possess at least 5 years’ experience in handling personal income tax, preferably gained from other major accounting firms or other related organizations.
- Excellent verbal and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- A team player and versatile to work with people of diverse background and experience.
- Mature in handling client issues and possess good interpersonal skill.
- Able to work under tight deadlines and to prioritize and organize workload.
