At PwC, our people in tax services focus on providing advice and guidance to clients on tax planning, compliance, and strategy. These individuals help businesses navigate complex tax regulations and optimise their tax positions.

Those in tax compliance at PwC will focus on validating clients' compliance with tax laws and regulations. You will review and analyse financial data, prepare and file tax returns, and assist businesses in meeting their tax obligations while minimising risks of non-compliance.

You are responsible for coaching, leveraging team member’s unique strengths, and managing performance to deliver on client expectations. With your growing knowledge of how business works, you play an important role in identifying opportunities that contribute to the success of our Firm.   • Analyse and identify the linkages and interactions between the component parts of an entire system.

  • Uphold and reinforce professional and technical standards (e.g. refer to specific PwC tax and audit guidance), the Firm's code of conduct, and independence requirements.

Preferred skills

  • A Bachelors Degree with a specialisation in business, accounting/taxation or a law degree from an accredited university;
  • Successful completion of the U.S. Certified Public Accounting designation, admitted to practice law in a U.S. jurisdiction, or holds an equivalent relevant US Tax certification. Candidates who do not have the CPA or EA qualification but have the required relevant Tax experience ( US tax experience preferred) will be considered ;
  • A minimum of 5 years of U.S. taxation work experience with an international accounting Firm, international law firm or similar work experience specialising in U.S. tax issues of partnerships and corporations;
  • Tax experience working with hedge funds, private equity funds, other investment partnerships or insurance companies preferred;
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, ATX and GoSystem;
  • Highly organised, dedicated and self motivated;
  • Excellent communications, interpersonal and time management skills;
  • Ability to coach and mentor more junior team members; and
  • Proven track record of working collegially with other management group member to collectively get the job done.
