Accountant

• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities for multiple entities in a timely and accurate manner, adhering to established requirements, procedures, and guidelines.
• Prepare financial reports and schedules for management review, along with other ad hoc reports as needed.
• Post manual journal entries, provisions, and accruals accurately and efficiently.
• Support the implementation of system enhancements to improve accounting processes.
• Implement best practices for internal controls and the month-end closing process.
• Oversee external and internal financial and tax audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Assist in audit activities and respond to queries from external auditor. Preparations of financial statement in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
• Assist in tax filling processes, address queries from tax agents and provide necessary documentation.
• Work closely with other finance function teams and business units to help make decisions and improve overall financial performance.
• Undertake any other jobs and duties may be assigned from time to time by management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Degree in Finance and Accounting, or a professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA or an equivalent certification.
• Good understanding of IFRS with experience in group financial consolidation.
• Good spoken and written in English (other foreign languages is an added advantage).
• Excellent interpersonal, planning and organising, problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Familiarity with SAP processes is an added advantage.
