Job Overview:
The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in managing client financial reporting requirements, year-end closing procedures, and adeptly handling auditor queries, specifically with a robust foundation gained from a Big 4 audit firm. The candidate must hold a Chartered Accountant (CA) or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualification, along with a minimum of 6-7 years of relevant professional experience. Proficiency in preparing consolidated financial statements under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is an absolute necessity.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Financial Reporting:
- Collaborate with clients to understand their financial reporting needs and provide strategic recommendations to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to IFRS principles.
- Drive the preparation of consolidated financial statements for complex group structures, adhering to the intricacies of IFRS guidelines.
Year-End Closing:
- Lead and oversee the year-end closing process, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a seamless and timely completion.
- Manage all aspects of financial reporting during the year-end period, including adjustments, reconciliations, and compliance with reporting deadlines.
Auditor Queries:
- Act as the primary point of contact for auditors, facilitating efficient communication and addressing queries effectively to ensure a smooth and productive audit process.
- Prepare detailed responses to auditors' inquiries, substantiating financial data and providing comprehensive explanations as required.
Technical Expertise:
- Leverage deep understanding of IFRS to provide expert guidance on complex accounting issues, ensuring accurate interpretation and application of relevant standards.
- Stay abreast of emerging accounting trends, regulatory changes, and industry best practices to continually enhance the quality of financial reporting and consulting services.
Client Relationships:
- Develop and nurture strong client relationships through consistent communication, proactive problem-solving, and delivering tailored solutions that add value to clients' financial operations.
Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams within the organization to share insights, streamline processes, and contribute to the overall growth and success of the firm.
Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualification is mandatory.
- Minimum of 6-7 years of relevant professional experience, including a significant period spent at a Big 4 audit firm.
- In-depth knowledge and practical experience with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), especially in the preparation of consolidated financial statements.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, coupled with the ability to think critically and provide innovative solutions to complex financial challenges.
