Who we are looking for:
SSBI (State Street Bank International) Compliance Regulatory Liaison m/f/d reports directly to SSBI Head of Compliance, and collaborates closely with SSBI Senior Management and State Street Global Compliance Regulatory Liaison Office. In this role you will contribute to fostering a positive regulatory culture and promoting proactive interaction with regulatory agencies. You will assist in the formulation and execution of the regulatory strategy by assessing areas of supervisory focus, monitoring the regulatory landscape, and evaluating regulatory intelligence.
The role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and from the office in Frankfurt or Munich.
What you will be responsible for:
- Representing the unified voice of executive management as a key centralized point of contact for regulatory matters
- Executing decisively on strategic and tactical priorities related to building and maintaining a strong regulatory posture and managing regulatory risk
- Credible and effective support executive management with regulatory risk management through the provision of regulatory information and advice (i.e., intelligence, reporting, briefings)
- Promoting a consistent, proactive and transparent communication approach to build trust with regulators
- Helping the firm successfully navigate regulatory exams and interactions and oversee robust and responsive remediation programs
- Developing and promulgating effective and sustainable frameworks that drive quality and consistency with respect to regulatory matters
- Facilitating alignment and coordination with the Global Compliance Regulatory Liaison Office
- Managing a team of 4 compliance professionals
Education and Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of least 7 years’ of financial services experience in any of the following disciplines: Bank Regulator or Examiner, Compliance, Legal or equivalent work experience
- Sound understanding of regulatory agency supervisory process and experience working with regulators
- Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical topics in concise terms
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting preferred
- Fluency in English required, German language skills desired
