Job Description
An opportunity has arisen within the Fund Management Operations Department for an Operational Trade Support Senior Associate. The role involves Market Trade support via Bloomberg & the Management of Cash on all Funds & accounts being actively managed by the Asset Management Team. Responsibilities listed below however may expand to related functions
Tasks (what does the role do on a day-to-day basis) -
- Monitor Trade platform Bloomberg AIM to ensure all market activity is captured and progressed to the Custodians for successful settlement
- Instructing and settling 3rd party Fund Trades, monitoring fund trade queues, liaising with Fund providers in settlement queries.
- Review and updating all unit procedures as required.
- Reviewing Market trades report daily. Liaising with counterparties and Asset Managers to ensure efficient market settlement.
- Input and checking of all non STP trades. This will include 3rd party Funds, FFX’s, Options, Flexi & Cash Journals.
- Assisting with the resolution of IQEQ FM operations queries as required.
- Calculate & prepare and balance client & fund cash movements between all approved Institutional a/c to meet the funding needs of the clients & Market requirements
- Maintenance of all Client / Fund & all Market static for all IQEQ FM operation databases to support efficient market trading & client retention data.
- Ensure that all Daily Control reports are generated, checked and filed.
- Any issues are resolved and or reported to Line Management.
- Ensure that all appropriate SSI data re Market Settlement is updated and maintained on all relevant databases to support efficient STP
- Review & oversight on EMIR Reporting.
- Respond & liaise with Auditors for ad hoc Audit Requests.
Qualifications
Required Experience -
- Experience in the Finance industry would be beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to engage with internal & external service providers
- Highly numerate, analytical and good problem solving ability
- Ability to work well under pressure and be pro-active to achieve solutions.
