Who are we looking for

We are looking for a Corporate Audit Professional Services (CAPS), Assistant Vice President to support Governance, Risk and Compliance activities. The Assistant Vice President will be engaged in efforts to identify and enhance controls and processes to support a leading practices internal audit function for a Global Systemically Important Bank in compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements. This role reports to the CAPS, Vice President responsible for Corporate Audit’s Governance, Risk and Compliance oversight. In this role you will be based out of Boston, Massachusetts.

Due to the role requirements this job needs to be performed primarily in the office with some flex work opportunities available.

What you will be responsible for

In demonstrating a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement, other key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying, and documenting key controls supporting audit processes primarily within the CAPS team.
  • Supporting the design of controls and procedures, where appropriate.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve and make processes more efficient and effective.
  • Building strong relationships with subject matter experts and other stakeholders to drive risk excellence
  • Providing insight on the evolving regulatory environment.
  • Staying abreast of industry matters and efficiently and effectively apply applicable new developments in audit projects.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Public Accounting, Internal Auditing, or other governance, risk and compliance roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
  • Professional certification in a related discipline (CPA, CIA, CRMA, CISA) preferred.
  • Proficiency in English is required, and knowledge of other languages is advantageous.

Additional requirements

While majority of the time you will work from your primary location, some domestic and international travel may be required to a variety of locations where State Street operates.

Salary Range:

$80,000 - $132,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
