Are you interested in getting insight into controlling Morgan Stanley’s trading fees? We are looking for a new colleague to join our Brokerage and Clearing team based in Budapest. You will:
- Communicate regularly with counterparts such as exchange and clearing houses for EMEA and APAC, client connectivity vendors worldwide
- Track and monitor settlement activity across all regions.
- Complete invoice reconciliations and payments to keep the level of outstanding balances at a low level
- Interact with internal controllers, operations and traders to resolve any trade related issues
- Create ad hoc reports to support decision makers in controlling costs
- Work closely with automation and data analytics experts to enhance data quality
- Provide support for analyses on monthly, quarterly, and yearly expense variances, define main drivers
Qualifications
You have:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance/Accounting or related fields with 1+ years of experience
- Understanding of financial products and accounting principles
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Ability to communicate effectively across all levels
- Analytical and technical mindset, pro-active attitude
- Experience with reporting and data analysis tools (PowerBI, Power Query, Alterxy, Tableau)
Team Profile:
The Budapest Trading Fees Controlling team, within the Finance department, is responsible for expense management and control for trading related fees, communication with broker firms, exchange and clearing houses and Morgan Stanley Finance Controller groups. We cover month end closing tasks, variance and trend analysis, GL account reconciliation, invoice reconciliation and payment, and delivering on ad hoc requests from Finance management and Business Units/Trading desks.
