About the role
The key role of the APMEA FP&A Commercial & Operations Enablement Analyst is to support the business growth agenda by ensuring the right information is with the right stakeholders at the right time. Partnering with the Global EPM team, Financial Control Directors, CFOs, FP&A Insights & Operations Finance, this role will set the benchmark for ensuring the business is serviced with world-class performance measurement reports. Reporting to the APMEA FP&A Enablement lead, this role will be a key contributor to the further implementation of the Finance Operating Model streamlining and optimising global business performance reporting.
The APMEA FP&A Commercial & Operations Enablement Analyst, enable the maintenance and governance of all transaction & master data to ensure alignment, accuracy and standardisation of financial performance reporting as well as supporting delivery of routine & non-routine reporting to our key stakeholders across Front, Middle and Back Office to aid in driving informed decision making.
Key responsibilities
- Support the FP&A Enablement team to ensure the successful delivery of FP&A objectives.
- Support FP&A Enablement objective of delivering consistently deployed information that promotes commonality of data management across the Group and a culture in which “one version of the truth” is used to support decision making
- Ensure that Governance processes of Master Data are met and is aligned to “one version of the truth”
- Support successful delivery of standardisation and simplification of all routine & non-routine financial performance reporting across the Group
- Support execution and continued improvement of key business processes i.e. performance reporting, forecasting, budgeting & transaction data integrity
- Aligning decisions with the Financial Control Director, CFO & Global teams, that have key implications on key FP&A Enablement processes for the year
- Ensure the maintenance and governance of financial data including the reconciliation of data across all systems including post adjustments, are aligned to the “one version of the truth”
- Partner with the Global EPM team ensuring accuracy of information used for reporting & analysis, including performance of monthly system reconciliations and data checks as well as escalating issues in a transparent and collaborative manner if/as issues arise
- Identifying and driving continuous improvement efforts to ensure data integrity in all dimensions within EPM, as well improvement of key reporting processes including the monthly performance management forums, forecasting, budgeting and planning processes.
- Ensure successful delivery of routine performance reporting including preparation of routine reports and presentations to support key business stakeholders
- Review and validate non-routine reporting requests, assess its necessity, and assign the delivery of said request accordingly within the team
- Support system integration of acquisitions into EPM, as and when required
- Support co-ordination of key processes including flash, forecasts & budgets.
Qualifications and skills
- Bachelors Degree in Finance / Accounting / Business or as relevant
- Certified ACA /ACCA/ CIMA / CPA is highly advantageous
- 4-7 years relevant work experience in Financial Reporting and Analysis, ideally in FMCG or Manufacturing industry
- Knowledge of SAP, SAP BW is a must. Knowledge of BW AFO, CRM, EPM, Power BI is an advantage
- Advanced Excel skills is a must with experience with handling large number of data
- Experience in using data analytics tools such as Power Query, Business Objects is an advantage
