The role of Group Treasury is to ensure the financial strength of the CBA Group in all operating environments. As a team, we have extensive authority to procure and manage the financial resources of the Group and hold significant execution, planning and risk management responsibilities. Group Treasury operates in a changing and dynamic landscape, this means your tasks and role will naturally evolve to deal with new challenges and environment.

Key areas you will be providing support include:

As a Senior Analyst with 1-3 years relevant experience, you will be part of a team driving strategic decision making across Group Treasury’s key functions:

• Balance Sheet & Capital Management is responsible for driving strategic development and efficient use of the Group’s balance sheet. The team supports optimal business decisions through efficient price settings and develops frameworks to determine the appropriate amount and mix of capital.
• Funding & Liquidity manages the Group’s debt issuance and day to day liquidity. The team is market focused and engages with debt investors, investment banks and rating agencies to ensure CBA maintains a cost-effective and sustainable funding mix. The team is also responsible for managing the Group’s cash, liquidity and collateral position.
• Liquidity Reporting & Stress Testing delivers insights and accurate reporting and analytical capability to assist liquidity / capital management decisions and fulfill regulatory obligations. The team helps to deliver a strong and efficient balance sheet through class-leading analytics.
• Chief Investment Office is a market facing team which manages the group’s liquid asset portfolio s we are required to hold for regulatory purposes as well as interest rate, foreign currency and basis risk hedging and trading activities.

We're interested in hearing from people who value

• 1-3 years’ experience preferably but not exclusively in the banking or financial services industry
• Strong analytical and numeracy skills
• Problem solving skills with ability to draw insights from data and market trends
• Excellent verbal, written communication skills and critical thinking skills.
• Stakeholder management and negotiation skills
• Strong sense of initiative, curiosity and an ability to prioritise tasks
• Higher tertiary education in a related field; Commerce, Law, Finance, Actuarial, Financial Mathematics, Financial Statistics, etc.
• You are an Australian or New Zealand Citizen or an Australian Permanent Resident
