The Head of Financial Accounting will oversee the financial accounting operations, establish a finance shared service centre, and lead the implementation of ERP. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial records, compliance with financial regulations, and provides strategic financial guidance to the leadership team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Accounting and Reporting:
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements in compliance with HKFRS and other regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
  • Manage the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors.

  • Shared Service Centre Setup:
  • Lead the design and implementation of a finance shared service centre.
  • Develop and standardize financial processes and procedures across the organization.
  • Ensure efficient and effective service delivery within the shared service centre.

  • ERP Implementation:
  • Lead the implementation of ERP, ensuring integration with existing systems.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure smooth transition and minimal disruption.
  • Provide training and support to finance staff on the new system.

  • Internal Controls and Compliance:
  • Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
  • Conduct regular reviews and updates of financial policies and procedures.

  • Team Leadership and Development:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the financial accounting team.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Ensure the team is equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.

  • Strategic Financial Management:
  • Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to the CFO and executive team.
  • Support the development and execution of the company's financial strategy.
  • Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions as needed.

    • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent qualification preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in financial accounting
  • Proven experience in setting up or managing a finance shared service centre will be a PLUS
  • Strong knowledge of SAP/ Oracle ERP implementation.
  • Excellent understanding of HKFRS and other relevant financial regulations.
