Role Summary

As part of the Australian client services team, the Client Services Manager supports the Global Fund Services businesses in relation to all aspects of managing the administrative and relationship needs of institutional trust clients.

You will respond to institutional client inquiries and coordinate client activities. This involves identifying opportunities for expanding business relationships through additional products or services and you will act as key consultant to clients.

This role will report to the Manager – GFS Client Services.

What you will do

  • Acts as key consultant to clients, assisting in formulation of best practices, redesign of processes, evaluation and implementation of Trust and Custody services through creative ideas and problem solving
  • Ensures overall client satisfaction by facilitating efforts of service team, coordinating resources to ensure timely deliverables and issue resolution, and effectively communicating client concerns/needs to partners
  • Develop complete understanding of client's business, objectives, goals, and market challenges
  • Assists Relationship Managers in counselling clients on emerging issues, bank products/services, legal/regulatory changes, and general financial environment, translating the impact on client's activities and banking services
  • Participates in development of solutions to client needs, coordinate presentations, bringing in experts when appropriate, and ensuring smooth delivery of new services
  • Manages and enhances client profitability
  • Travel to client locations on a selected basis where revenue and/or new business opportunities and/or servicing require a call.

About You

  • Proven experience working in financial servicing/accounting fields, with a client servicing background
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Demonstrated organisational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to understand legal documentations (such as SLA) & provide recommendations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Understanding of reconciliation processes
  • Understanding of payment and transfer process

Highly Desirable (good to have):

  • Also a knowledge of registry
  • Ability to look ahead and identify opportunities or issues based on understanding of clients’ needs
  • Previous experience with a background in custody or custodial services
  • A knowledge of derivatives
  • Knowledge of trust or asset management and/or finance
  • Knowledge of alternative assets
