Experienced Accounting Specialist at EY HUB Tax team

The Opportunity

You`ll work as part of a stable and flexible team on a specific range of clients and assignments. You`ll be encouraged and expected to take accountability and make an impact.

Your key responsibilities

• Checks and validates that the entries in the local accounting system are in line with the applicable reporting requirements;
• Review the annual statutory financial statements and the half-yearly accounting reports;
• Perform tax compliance work;
• Timely identify possible accounting and tax compliance issues and communicate these to the manager in charge;
• Coordinate and supervise the accounting assistant(s) and provide on-the-job guidance and constant feedback on the accounting and tax work. (substantive support, delegation of tasks)

Skills and attributes for success

• Strong attention to detail and an eye for consistency
• A deep understanding of accounting requirements, excellent analytical skills, and a proven track record of successfully managing accounting reporting.
• Open to learning, willingness to self-development, and constantly expanding knowledge

To qualify for the role, you must have

• University degree in Economics
• +2 years of experience as an Accountant in bookkeeping
• English language – medium/advanced level
• Excel – advanced level
