Job Description :
- Establish credit limits and ensure adherence to company policies.
- Monitor outstanding accounts and follow up on overdue invoices.
- Maintain accurate records of all credit control activities and correspondence with clients.
- Prepare and distribute regular statements and reminders to clients.
- Proactively contact clients via phone, email, and letter to ensure timely payment of invoices.
- Negotiate payment plans and settlements where necessary.
- Resolve payment disputes and discrepancies in a professional manner.
- Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status, aging analysis, and collection progress.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior management on credit risk and collection strategies.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to facilitate smooth credit and collection processes.
- Address and resolve client inquiries and issues related to billing and payments promptly.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Credit Controller or in a similar role within an accountancy firm or financial services industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong understanding of credit management principles and practices.
- Communication Skills:
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
We follow 9 to 5 BST UK timings.
