Responsibilities:
- Support the Company’s compliance with a variety of regulatory requirements, including applicable rules and regulations.
- Conduct multi-jurisdictional compliance analysis using an internal control-based approach.
- Assist in performing compliance assessments and monitoring to ensure adherence to regulatory standards, licensing requirements, and internal policies.
- Contribute to regular compliance certification tasks and periodic assessments.
- Stay informed about regulatory changes and industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Collaborate with teams across the organization, including Legal and Operational teams, to promote compliance understanding and implementation.
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports, documentation, and license applications as needed.
- Respond to regulatory inquiries and investigations, providing timely and accurate information.
- Coordinate with service and change management teams to maintain compliance in each roadmap release.
Skills and Specifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Banking, Finance, or a related field.
- Prior experience in a compliance role within the finance or banking sector, ideally in a B2B context.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks in the finance or banking industry.
- Strong knowledge of Maltese and European banking legislation, including relevant rules.
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to identify risks and suggest corrective measures.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities for collaboration with various stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and proactive, able to manage multiple tasks independently within set deadlines.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with compliance management systems is advantageous.
