About the job

  • Prepare statutory and regulatory reports, ensuring full compliance with relevant guidelines.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to manage the annual audit process efficiently.
  • Oversee timely and accurate financial closing activities.
  • Support the head of finance in developing and implementing financial strategies that align with the company's goals and growth objectives.
  • Analyze financial performance and trends, providing actionable insights to optimize business outcomes.
  • Support additional ad-hoc assignments as required.

Skills and experience required
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a professional accounting qualification.
  • Strong experience in statutory/regulatory reporting in the re/insurance industry.
  • Proven ability to manage financial closing processes and work with auditors.
  • Sound knowledge of accounting standards and internal control procedures.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic insights.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
