The role is designed to support newly qualified accountants who are women, primarily from black and other minoritised communities, and give exposure as an accounts placement and allow them to gain experience across the finance and accounts department. The role will grow and develop, meaning more duties and responsibilities will enable the trainee to gain a broader understanding and play a vital part in a business's function.
Duties
- Process invoices, including matching, querying, coding, and archiving.
- Ensure records are accurate and up to date.
- Supplier Statement Reconciliations
- Processing timesheets and expenses.
- Raising sales invoices.
- Preparation of schedules.
- Matching credit card statements to receipts
- To assist in month-end and year-end tasks as and when required
- Liaising closely with all teams to ensure all data is captured and accurate.
- Answering phones and taking messages,
- Assisting in Petty Cash processing
- Ordering and control of office supplies
- Other general accounts/admin support as required.
- Contact with all the employed staff as well as self-employed contractors
Entry requirements
- Qualified female accountant
- Good verbal and written communication.
- Computer literate.
- Desire to want to learn and achieve.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Motivated.
- Enthusiastic.
- Friendly and cheerful disposition.
- Ability to work within a team.
