Internal Auditor

Our client in the logistics industry is looking for an experienced Internal Auditor to join their team.

Salary and benefits:

• USD 1,500 gross range

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist with devising an audit programme for the Internal Audit team which covers all major risk areas, in sufficient frequency, within an annual cycle.
• Planning and conducting Audits.
• Developing the audit plan, including objectives, scope, and methodology.
• Risk assessment.
• Identifying areas of risk and determining the areas that need more attention during the audit.
• Reviewing and assessing the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls in place to mitigate risks.
• Testing the internal controls to ensure they are working as intended.
• Suggesting enhancements or changes to improve control systems and mitigate risks.
• Ensuring the organization complies with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Reviewing company policies and procedures to ensure they are up-to-date and followed.
• Presenting audit findings to management and the audit committee.
• Working with management to develop action plans to address identified issues.
• Continuously improving audit techniques and methodologies.

Key Skills:

• Proficiency in Ms Office package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Excellent written and communication skills.
• Good analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Sound interpersonal skills.

Qualifications:

• A holder of an Accounting / Internal Audit Degree.
• At least 5 years' experience as an Internal Auditor preferably in Transport and Logistics, Petroleum or FMCG sectors.
• Experience in loss control.
• Clean class 4 driver's license a must (defensive driving certificate an added advantage).
