AVP/VP, China ASEAN Research and Advisory (Japanese and Mandarin Speakers)
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer contractual professional advice to clients on setting up, modifying, and transforming their business strategies and plans in China and ASEAN.
- Support other branch offices in China and ASEAN on a project basis, providing advisory services to their clients.
- Address business-related inquiries from clients.
- Provide clients with the latest or ad-hoc business or investment news and updates on China and ASEAN policies and regulations.
- Regularly communicate with government officials in China and ASEAN to obtain the most current information on national policies.
- Conduct research on business development trends and the investment environment in China and ASEAN.
- Collect, compile, and distribute valuable market news or information on China and ASEAN to relevant departments.
- Collaborate with business promotion departments and other branch offices in China and ASEAN to enhance coordination on advisory services and explore new business opportunities in the region.
- Support business promotion departments during client visits or presentations related to investment matters in China and ASEAN
Core Competencies:
- Efficiently manage routine tasks independently and handle unexpected issues by gathering necessary information and analyzing past cases.
- Provide mentorship and feedback to junior team members as needed.
- Uphold high standards of business conduct and integrity in all operations and reporting.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A bachelor's degree in any field.
- Ideally, 2-5 years of experience in advisory or research roles.
- Proficiency in Putonghua, Japanese and English, with at least JLPT N1 certification and the ability to present in Japanese.
- Skilled in using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other office software.
- Independent, responsible, supportive, and communicative.
- Willing to travel for business occasionally.
