Who we are looking for

The Head of FX and TCA Platforms has global responsibility for the management of the FX Trading and TCA suite of products, including Currenex, FXConnect, TradeNeXus and BestX.  The position holds responsibility for revenue growth, governance & oversight of the product and its employees, numbering 30+ directly (including IT development staff).

As a senior leader of the team, the successful incumbent will proxy for the Head of GlobalLink from time to time. 

The role holder will report directly to the Head of GlobalLink and be a member of the GlobalLink Management Team and possess advanced leadership, management skills such as:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the institutional foreign exchange markets
  • Deep Understanding of trading technology systems and infrastructure
  • Creative, outcome-driven influencer with the ability to lead a global team of product and account management leads in line with business strategy and financial objectives
  • Demonstrated track record of developing innovative, technology led client solutions in financial markets
  • Ability to continuously educate assigned team on product differentiators, product development efforts and relevant industry trends, leading to engaging and informative interactions with clients and prospects
  • Active presence at industry conferences and State Street led symposiums with a focus on promoting thought leadership
  • Experience developing and executing on a strategic business plan; Imperative that candidate can articulate and differentiate GlobalLink’s value proposition amidst a fiercely competitive industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Due to the role requirements this job needs to be performed primarily in the office with some flex work opportunities available.

What you will be responsible for

As the Head of FX and TCA Platforms, you will be responsible for:

  • Develop and monitor the business plan and budgets in line with corporate goals
  • Ensure that the business has the right resources
  • Ensure that the businesses operate in compliance with internal and external regulations and that escalation procedures are followed
  • Conduct periodic business reviews ensuring associated risks are identified and managed and appropriate remedial action is taken where appropriate
  • Identify new business opportunities driven out of market, client and regulatory demand and develop and implement business plans in line with corporate goals
  • Manage staff across products
  • Work collaboratively with Globallink centralized functions, including sales, operations, business risk management and COO to ensure that business growth objectives are met and the team has the proper controls and procedures in place
  • Work across the GlobalLink, Global Markets and State Street to ensure that GlobalLink is maximizing opportunities to provide our solutions to prospective clients
  • Create and monitor annual performance priorities and quantifiable metrics to continually assess performance
  • Cultivate and strengthen talent by ensuring appropriate training to assist them meet their core job expectations. Strengthen our talent through increased diversity, mobility and promotion of employee engagement
  • Active contributions to the decision making process within the Global Markets EMG.

  • Proven management success within a large highly regulated multi-national organization
  • Proven ability to build client relationships with key decision makers for our solutions including Heads of Businesses, Chief Operating Officers, Treasurers and Traders at Banks, Asset Managers and multi-national corporations
  • Ability to communicate feedback from clients and prospects back into the overall organization to improve delivery of solutions and improve the overall client experience

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree required with preference for advanced degree (MBA, CFA, etc.)
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in senior a management capacity
  • Extensive experience in foreign exchange markets (15+ years)
  • Proven track record of developing/delivering innovative solutions to market
  • Exemplary communication skills are essential – excellent speaking and writing skill
  • Ability to build trust and relationships with clients, peers, staff and support partners

Additional requirements

  • The preferred location for this role is in Boston or London. If the successful candidate is hired in London, they will be required to take on SMF responsibilities.

Salary Range:

$340,000 - $385,000 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
