This position reports into Finance Head CEE Insights and is based at Poland.

What you will do
Key Responsibilities:
Accrual Management:
- Accurately record and track financial accruals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Ensure all accruals are properly documented, justified, and posted in the accounting system.
- Monitor and adjust accruals to reflect actual expenditures, ensuring accuracy in financial statements.
Reconciliation & Reporting:
- Perform periodic reconciliations of accrual accounts to ensure balances are correct.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes by providing accurate accrual data.
- Prepare detailed reports related to accruals for internal management and external audit purposes.
Audit Support:
- Serve as the main point of contact for both internal and external auditors regarding accruals.
- Prepare supporting documentation and explain financial accrual processes during audits.
- Ensure timely responses to auditor inquiries and assist in resolving any discrepancies.
Compliance & Controls:
- Conduct regular accrual training to the local organization
- Ensure that all accrual processes adhere to company policies and regulatory standards.
- Maintain and update financial accrual procedures to ensure ongoing compliance with relevant accounting principles
- Work with cross-functional teams to enhance internal controls related to accruals and other financial processes.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in accruals and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Keep up to date with changes in accounting regulations and best practices to ensure the company’s processes remain compliant and effective.
Qualifications
What we are looking for
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3 years of experience in financial accounting, with a focus on accruals.
- Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and practices.
- Experience with ERP systems SAP and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with auditors and cross-functional teams.
- Experience in audit processes and financial controls is highly desirable.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities, with a demonstrated ability to lead through influence and impact.
- Fluency in English and Polish; proficiency in any other local language is advantageous.
