We are looking to recruit into Finance Business Partner roles to continue to support this transformation journey within the following services: Financial Planning and Adult Social Care. A can-do attitude, experience in supporting large, complex services and an ability to appropriately articulate financial information to a range of stakeholders are all crucial to these roles.

Financial Planning function helps to provide focus and support on the Councils medium term financial planning and the financial complexities surrounding this. Financial Planning provides support to members and activities underpinned by the Section 151 Officer, coordinates the revenue and capital budgeting process, medium term financial plan and reporting to senior management and members.

Adult Social Care Finance Business Partners are our key finance links to the services we support. They are there to provide solutions, insight and advice to both support and constructively challenge services to help achieve their objectives, whilst underpinned by strong financial management.

Preferences for a particular service can be discussed during the interview. However, no matter the area you work with, you'll join a supportive team that has a collaborative ethos and a clear direction.

The roles will be supporting our service managers and directors in service to become a proactive and trusted financial adviser. Everything you do will help to improve the service and its outcomes.

We are looking for enthusiastic and pragmatic individuals, with a can do attitude, experience of financial stewardship, be able to demonstrate experience of working with data/ analytical skills and have an ability to appropriately articulate financial information to a range of stakeholders, which are all key strengths that you will need to undertake the role.

As a Finance Business Partner you should hold a CCAB/CIMA body and undertaking active CPD, or actively studying for a CCAB/CIMA qualification. Whist an understanding of local government finance would be an advantage, it is not essential.

If you are not currently fully qualified but actively studying, we provide opportunities to continue a funded CCAB qualification.

The interviews will be conducted face to face within the Civic Centre and are likely to be held week commencing 26th November 2024, applicants will need to have applied by the closing date to be considered.

Interviews will consist of a test and presentation followed by an interview.
