Accountant - Client Accounting - Real Estate / Property Accountant

Job purpose

Currently we are searching for an Accountant to support our German Accounting Team from our hub in Poland. If you like to work with figures and numbers and you are proactive about your own learning, we are happy to support you to kick off your international career with us!

At this role you will have possibility to work remotely or hybrid from the office in Katowice.

Key responsibilities

  • Preparation and review of financial reports;
  • Posting of all business transactions in the general ledger and subledger;
  • Processing Property accounts prepared by the Property Manager (validating, uploading);
  • Preferably end to end booking (AP, AR, GL), but covering AP part and payments management will also suit
  • Responsibility for the timely preparation of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports according to HGB, IFRS or US GAAP in close cooperation with the team management and the team;
  • Creation of ad hoc reports;
  • Communicating with customers, accountants, banks, auditors, lawyers, investment managers or other parties;
  • Monitoring of payment transactions.

Key requirements

  • Knowledge/experience in SPV accounting in Real Estate or related fields (such as private) is a must;
  • Fluent English and Polish;
  • German B1 or willingness to learn this language with the provision to achieve at least A2 level within 12 months;
  • University degree in finance/accounting or comparable training in accounting preferred;
  • At least 3 years of practical work experience, ideally with an international audit or similar;
  • Knowledge of IFRS or US GAAP or HGB;
  • Good knowledge of MS Office;
  • Strong affinity for numbers;
  • Solution orientation and service readiness;
