In this role, you will partner closely with senior stakeholders, supporting decision-making processes while delivering high-quality financial insights and analysis. You will also assist in the development of junior team members and contribute to key financial projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commercial Support:
- Partner with key stakeholders to facilitate sound financial and operational decision-making.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide summaries to support business decisions.
- Assist in managing financial risks and opportunities across contracts and balance sheets.
- Contribute to commercial initiatives aimed at driving business performance improvements.
- Performance Management:
- Assist in preparing key business reports, including month-end reviews, budgets, and client reports.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process, including variance analysis.
- Contribute to balance sheet reviews and help manage working capital targets.
- Help prepare documentation for client tenders, negotiations, and capital expenditure appraisals.
- Team Support & Leadership:
- Support and develop junior team members, contributing to their career progression.
- Collaborate with financial and operational teams to ensure effective communication and partnership.
Candidate Requirements:
Essential:
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or QBE with relevant experience.
- Experience in business partnering and providing financial support to senior stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and a commercial mindset.
- Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage complex spreadsheets and prioritize tasks effectively.
Desirable:
- Experience in a multi-site, multi-contract environment.
- Knowledge of SAP & Cognos.
- Experience supporting team development and working closely with operational teams.
