Search of a dedicated Development Accountant to join our accounting and finance team. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the Social Housing sector and the ability to thrive in a team setting.

Description
- To work closely with the Development Finance team and the Development Programme team on monthly schedules.
- On a monthly basis, generate accurate and timely management reports for the Capital Management Group, Development committee, Finance and Treasury committee.
- Act as a financial lead on large-scale, high-risk, and transformation projects and activities within the directorate as needed.
- To update the long term financial planning development side on a regular basis and to scenario test it.
- Accounts (including all subsidiaries) and other external legal reporting requirements must be delivered with accurate, high-quality accounting records.
- Support ad hoc queries by directing stakeholders to appropriate finance teams.
- Facilitating internal audits and supporting external audit processes.
- Developing and maintaining effective financial management systems and processes.
- Assisting in the continuous improvement of financial management practices within the organisation.
Profile
A successful Development Accountant should have:
- Qualification required - ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
- Proficiency in Sun Systems desired and advanced Excel & Word skills
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of Forecasting /long term planning software Brixx
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- A commitment to ethical behaviour and good corporate governance.
