The successful candidate will report directly to the Chief Accountant and assist the team in the production of monthly financials for CFAO Ghana PLC.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following;
- Assist with the accurate maintenance of accounting records and allocation (general account, supplier, customer and individual)
- Ensure that all entries in the books are supported by a journal entry approval form’ approved at the appropriate level (refer to DOA)
- Ensure timely preparation and maintenance of monthly reconciliation file process in Blackline.
- Supervise an accurate and clean intercompany account with the group.
- Prepare the Monthly Management Report (MMR) to be validated by the Chief Accountant
- Coordinate audit process and ensure a timely interim and yearly audit.
- Assist with Preparation and filings of tax forms.
- Assist with the preparation of annual financial statements of CFAO Equipment
- Reconcile expenses, gross margin analysis and capex for Monthly Management Report (MMR)
- Prepare monthly performance per BU file for CFAO Ghana PLC
- Validate bank posting and petty cash transaction.
- Train the account officers as and when the need arises.
- Cover for Senior Accounts Officers in their absences
- Perform any other duties assigned to you by the company.
Profile
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting activities, including general ledger entries, financial reporting, reconciliations, and the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. You will work closely with internal and external auditors, ensure tax compliance, and support the financial planning and analysis functions to provide insights for business decision-making.
