We are the leading foodservice and hospitality provider across the Island of Ireland, and we are looking for an Assistant Finance Manager to join our talented team on a full time, permanent basis working 40 hours per week.
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Finance Manager to join our finance team. In this role, you will play a key part in improving service levels and cost-effectiveness while adding value to our commercial activities. You will actively participate in the development of the Finance function, enhancing service quality, management information, and standardizing processes in the most efficient manner.

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Finance Manager to join our finance team. In this role, you will play a key part in improving service levels and cost-effectiveness while adding value to our commercial activities. You will actively participate in the development of the Finance function, enhancing service quality, management information, and standardizing processes in the most efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service levels and cost efficiency.
- Assist in preparing accurate financial reports and management information.
- Deliver proactive financial analysis with summarized findings to support business unit decision-making.
- Manage financial risks and opportunities arising from volumetric and other contract mechanisms, as well as ongoing business performance.
- Understand, highlight, and manage financial risks and opportunities from balance sheet maintenance.
- Deliver analysis of key business reports, including month-end reports, business reviews, budgets, and cash analysis for monthly discussions.
- Review, amend, create, and process journals on SAP, collaborating with GMs to review accounts and prepare variance analysis.
- Conduct monthly balance sheet reviews for your area of responsibility, escalating key risks and opportunities to senior stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of financial accountability and excellence within the organization.
- Part-qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or a minimum of two years in a financial role (Qualified by Experience - QBE).
- 3+ years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably within a multi-site, multi-contract, complex organization.
- Strong knowledge of financial principles and accounting standards.
- Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Excel; experience with SAP or ERP systems is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Experience with accounting software as analysis and reporting tools.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey information concisely and logically to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Self-motivated with the ability to effectively plan and organize your own work.
- Ability to manage a broad spectrum of tasks under pressure and deliver within agreed timescales.
- Adaptability to a changing environment.
- Experience in business partnering with non-finance professionals to support the delivery of sound financial information.
