We are seeking a Trust Manager to support the Tax/Trust department of a top 40 accountancy firm in Leatherhead.
Client Details
We are pleased to be supporting a top 40 accountancy firm in Leatherhead with their recruitment of a Trust Manager. This role is a key position and will support the growing Wealth/Trust department.
Description
This role will involve managing a portfolio of clients relating to trust accounting, tax, and client management for both UK and offshore trusts. Supervision of junior staff, and supporting business development in the Trust & Wealth Services Department.
* Review and finalisation of accounts and tax returns for predominantly UK but also non-UK trusts and charities. Identifying technical issues relevant to trust matters including IHT, CGT and general advisory issues
* Support trustees in fulfilling their compliance request. Assist the Firm's Partners with tax planning and technical advisory projects
* Serve as the main client contact, ensuring accurate communication and timely delivery of information to clients and partners
* Supervise and develop junior staff, provide technical guidance, and participate in staff reviews and appraisals
* Support business development by attending client meetings and networking events
Profile
* Extensive experience in trust accounting and all aspects of trust tax for UK and offshore trusts
* Able to delegate and supervise junior staff
* Able to work under pressure and in a deadline driven environment
* Excellent IT skills and a desire to continually develop these
* Able to communicate effectively with contacts in the appropriate medium
* Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workflow and ensure the timely delivery of client work
Job Offer
