We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Head of Investment Oversight to join our BNY Investments team. This role is located in Tokyo, Japan and will be Hybrid.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Lead a team of investment professionals, providing guidance, mentoring, and fostering a collaborative and high performance culture
- Identify investment opportunities for the firm's funds and discretionary investment management mandates, as well as make recommendations for portfolio allocations and adjustments
- Monitor and evaluate performance of investment portfolios, ensuring adherence to investment guidelines, investment restrictions and regulatory requirements
- Conduct periodic investment reviews with clients
- Conduct due diligence on sub investment managers as required
- Provide assistance in the preparation of RFPs, as well as regular and ad hoc client reports and presentations
- Provide assistance in fund marketing and product development where necessary
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- University degree in Economics, Finance, Investment or a related discipline, professional qualifications such as CFA, CPA and ACCA are preferred
- Overseas educational or working experience would be a plus
- A minimum of 10 years of investment management experience in the asset management industry or relevant financial institutions
- In-depth knowledge and extensive experience in financial investment, financial analysis and mutual funds
- Strong analytical skills and ability to conduct thorough research and due diligence on investment opportunities and sub investment managers
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey investment concepts and strategies
- High level of discipline and integrity with positive attitude and ability to work independently and under pressure
- Bilingual in Japanese and English
